an excellent start

it's a good start, I would have it so that when the TIEs explode, they can no longer hurt you if yu touch the explosion. I really like how you can't touch the death star, very clever, there's a lot of things you could add into this game, it doesn't quite feel complete right now, though it could really be good with some effort

I would suggest using a counter so you can't attack when you are already attacking. you'll notice that when you press "jump" when you are already jumping, you start from the ground again. using a counter would solve for that problem. I would also suggest using A,S, and D instead of shift, space and end for attacks. excellent music, and the drawings are pretty good to. could be good in the end.
